Used this bag for 3 night in Ouray, CO where it was about 35 every night and stayed very warm. I just slept in long johns and had to take my socks off because I was getting too hot. I have a long so at 6'2", 225 the long provided the extra room I needed. I have a an earlier version of this bag and they improved the zipper on this model greatly. It's much bigger and rarely gets snagged like my old one, the draft tubes are also a little bigger which seals the heat in. Overall, great basic bag, might be too big back packing but the down would be perfect.FYI, mine came with a stuff sack.

I bought this for my wife and bought myself the down version since i like to backpack and she doesnt. This bag is not for backpacking in my opinion..its large over twice as big as the down version and weighs quite a bit more. My wife who is always cold was warm in this but i have no idea how cold it was at night...maybe 40 degrees. For 80$ or so this is a great bag. I boght the long version ofndown bag for 110$ so for anlittle more you can save space and wieght but i think each bag performs well and equally

5th piece of Kelty made gear that I've owned and will be the last. You pay good money for well performing gear but this time they really did the consumer a disservice by not including a stuff sack with the sleeping bag. Also, I'm definitely not impressed by the "made in china" label on the box either.
